It repeated on a loop - never changing. Whoever Jason DJ was, he only knew one track and it was 'Room 14, Hotel Ludwig, Vienna'. I switched off the radio, picked up the phone and called in to the office to put things in motion. I sat back down in my chair in silence. What was waiting in that hotel room? An hour later, the phone rang. I couldn't have imagined the truth.
“Empty?”
“Yes, sir. Unoccupied for a week, that particular room, sir.”
“And nothing out of the ordinary?”
“No, sir.”
“Send a man.”
“But, sir. To Austria?”
“Send a man.”
