“Your thoughts?” he said provocatively.

“Suicide,” I conceded. “But there are some inconsistencies.”

“Such as?”

“One – What is the motive?”

“Artistic temperament. The tortured artist. He begins his composition. Then, the writer's block. He is devastated. The artistic temperament begins. He throws himself to his death.”

“You believe that?”

“More or less.” He replied weakly.

“Two – Why is there no note?”

“Once again, the writer's block.”

“No. Hallgató saw him sitting at the table.” I walked over to the desk. There was a pad of Ludwig-headed paper and a complimentary pen. Examining the paper, I saw the faint indentations that represent the ghost of the previous page. I took a pencil from my pocket and employed the old schoolboy trick, shading across the page:

Kedvesem – ön meggyilkol én

I scratched my head and handed the sheet to Taub.
